The Luksic Scholarship for Public Service at the London School of Economics for a Master\u2019s of Public Administration (MPA) has been established to support the creation of trained leaders and experts with a public vocation, based on specific competencies and experiences that allow individuals to generate change in their professional environment.<\/p>\n

The School of Public Policy\u2019s mission acknowledges the history of public policy and public service that has been at the heart of LSE since its inception, which was in the year 1895.<\/p>\n

A total of 2 Scholarships are available for Chilean candidates who are accepted onto the MPA program at LSE. This degree combines methodological discipline and practical application and is designed to equip early-stage professionals with the core analytical skills, practical tools, and professional experience to be able to address real-world policy challenges. Students will then apply their skills to real-world scenarios through the completion of a six-month Capstone Project with an external client.<\/p>\n

Applicant Characteristics and Eligibility<\/strong>: Upper second-class honors (2:1) degree or equivalent in any discipline. There is no formal requirement for previous professional work experience, but students starting the MPA normally have one year of professional experience, and many have two or more years of experience. Application Dates for the MPA Program & the Luksic Scholarship (via LSE)<\/strong>: Applications for the 2027-2028 academic year will open in September\/October 2026. To be considered for the Luksic Scholarship, applicants must apply to the MPA program and then complete LSE’s Graduate Financial Support Application (GFSA) form via the Graduate Application Portal provided by LSE. Applications for this program are considered on a rolling basis, meaning the program will close once all spots are filled.<\/em><\/p>\n

LSE exclusively manages the application, selection, and allocation of funding processes without any input or participation from the Luksic Foundation.<\/em><\/p>\n

Scholarship Coverage<\/strong>: The Luksic Scholarship is a comprehensive funding package for Chilean candidates that provides full tuition coverage and a stipend based on UKVI standards<\/a> to cover living expenses for the entire program duration (18 months). It also includes a one-off payment once Scholars register for their classes at LSE to retroactively cover the costs involved in arriving and installing themselves in London (i.e. flight costs, accommodation deposits, NHS surcharge, etc.).<\/p>\n
